Hitting the slopes can be an exciting experience. The cold wind on your face, trees flying by, and hanging out with friends make it truly the best experience. And, what better to add to this than a great ski playlist?

There are pros and cons to listening to music while skiing. On one hand, it levels up your experience, makes you feel like you’re in your own ski film, and helps you get into a rhythm. On the other hand, it has the ability to limit your awareness of your surrounding.

The people who listen to music while skiing vouch for it hard core. And I have to say, I didn’t believe the hype. At first, I actively made sure to not listen to music while skiing. However, on a random solo ski day, I decided to give it a try and found it really does enhance the experience.

If you don’t want to listen while on the mountain you still need a playlist for the drive up. The right playlist can add an extra level of stoke to your skiing adventures, helping you feel every turn, drop, and jump.

With so many genres and artists to choose from, it can be tough to curate the right ski playlist. From upbeat electronic tracks to classic rock anthems, there are countless songs that can elevate your skiing experience. Personally I divide my ski music into songs for powder days and songs for sendy days.

To help you in making a ski playlist, I’ve compiled a list of some of my favorite songs recommended necessary to create the ultimate ski playlist. Some you may have heard, some maybe not. So, strap on your boots, grab your skis, and get ready to tear up the mountain while enjoying a soundtrack to your day.

Songs:

Ca plane pour moi — Plastic Bertrand

Are You Gonna Be My Girl — Jet

Destruction — Joywave

Dirty Harry — Gorillaz, Bootie Brown

Chapstick — Coin

Fitzpleasure — alt-J

Magic Carpet Ride — Steppenwolf

Purple Haze — Jimi Hendrix

Bad Moon Rising — Creedence Clearwater Revival

I hope this helps you in your search for stoke and possibly gave you a new song to add to your playlist or inspired you to start one. If you have and recommendations, leave them in the comments and I’ll add them to my own playlist.
